Are you fed up with Labour and thinking of voting Lib Dem?

Are you fed up with Labour and considering voting BNP, greens or UKIP?

Do you want Labour OUT?

The only way to get Labour out is to vote conservative. To get them out you cannot risk a hung parliament, because then, all you will end up with is Labour in charge.

By all means, vote for the smaller parties in the local elections, give them more power that way. At a later date, they will have the power and influence to really make a difference.

To keep Gordon Brown and his Labour Cronies who I believe are traitors to the people of this country would be a disaster for the people and the economy and democracy.

A Hung parliament. EVEN if Labour end up in third place and Conservative have the most seats, will still end up with Gordon Brown as Prime Minister. Which rather than getting the economy sorted out fast will be a few month squabble while Liberal and Labour oust Brown and install another Labour MP as the head of government. This will give us yet another UNELECTED PRIME MINISTER. (Very Democratic indeed!)

So if you give it a little thought and you really do not think that this country can bear another five years of Labour VOTE TORY!!

We go into the general election on 6 May with trust in politics and politicians at an all-time low. And I can understand why: the years of broken promises, the expenses scandal, the feeling that politicians have become too remote from the people – they’ve all taken their toll.
That’s why I’m making this contract with you.
For too long, you’ve been lied to by politicians saying they can sort out all your problems. But it doesn’t work like that. Real change is not just about what the government does. Real change only comes when we understand that we are all in this together; that we all have a responsibility to help make our country better. This contract sets out my side of the bargain: the things I want to do to change Britain. But it also makes clear that I cannot do it on my own. We will only get our economy moving, mend our broken society and reform our rotten political system if we all get involved, take responsibility, and work together.
So this is our contract with you. I want you to read it and – if we win the election – use it to hold us to account. If we don’t deliver our side of the bargain, vote us out in five years’ time.
We will change politics
Our political system needs to change. Politicians must be made more accountable, and we must take power away from Westminster and put it in the hands of people – individuals, families and neighbourhoods.
If you elect a Conservative government on 6 May, we will:
Give you the right to sack your MP, so you don’t have to wait for an election to get rid of politicians who are guilty of misconduct.
Cut the number of MPs by ten per cent, and cut the subsidies and perks for politicians.
Cut ministers’ pay by five per cent, and freeze it for five years.
Give local communities the power to take charge of the local planning system and vote on excessive council tax rises.
Make government transparent, publishing every item of government spending over £25,000, all government contracts, and all local council spending over £500.
We will change the economy
Gordon Brown’s economic incompetence has doubled the national debt, given us record youth unemployment, and widened the gap between rich and poor.
Unemployment is still rising, and this year we will spend more on debt interest than on schools. We need to get our economy moving.
If you elect a Conservative government on 6 May, we will:
Cut wasteful government spending so we can stop Labour’s jobs tax, which would kill the recovery.
Act now on the national debt, so we can keep mortgage rates lower for longer.
Reduce emissions and build a greener economy, with thousands of new jobs in green industries and advanced manufacturing.
Get Britain working by giving unemployed people support to get work, creating 400,000 new apprenticeships and training places over two years, and cutting benefits for those who refuse work.
Control immigration, reducing it to the levels of the 1990s – meaning tens of thousands a year, instead of the hundreds of thousands a year under Labour.
We will change society
We face big social problems in this country: family breakdown, educational failure, crime and deep poverty. Labour’s big government has failed; we will help build a Big Society where everyone plays their part in mending our broken society.
If you elect a Conservative government on 6 May, we will:
Increase spending on health every year, while cutting waste in the NHS, so that more goes to nurses and doctors on the frontline, and make sure you get access to the cancer drugs you need.
Support families, by giving married couples and civil partners a tax break, giving more people the right to request flexible working and helping young families with extra Sure Start health visitors.
Raise standards in schools, by giving teachers the power to restore discipline and by giving parents, charities and voluntary groups the power to start new smaller schools.
Increase the basic state pension, by relinking it to earnings, and protect the winter fuel allowance, free TV licences, free bus travel and other key benefits for older people.
Fight back against crime, cut paperwork to get police officers on the street, and make sure criminals serve the sentence given to them in court.
Create National Citizen Service for every 16 year old, to help bring the country together.

David Cameron
Leader of the Conservative Party

In the last of the election debates he kept spouting off how he was going to half classroom sizes in schools.

How the hell can this be accomplished? He was trying to make out that if you vote for him this will happen.

Where are all of the new schools going to come from to accommodate this policy? Where are all of the new teachers going to come from? Most of all how in the hell is it going to be paid for? To halve the classroom sizes, logically we are going to double the amount of classes and teachers. It just cannot be done.

Surely people do not believe what this fool is saying. Okay he is a charismatic speaker on tv. BUT that does not make his policies work.

I think they thought up this policy, which ideally is right, when they didn’t think that they had a chance of getting into power. Now they are stuck with it.

They held their audience captive, in the palm of their hand. Their voice would rise to a peak reverberating through the hall. There would be cheers and applause full of admiration.

Sadly, nowadays in British politics, that has all gone. All we get is some career politician blandly reciting what he was taught at university, or what his party have told him to say. It seems that they do not really believe the spin that they are pushing upon us.

No wonder the people of today are not voting, No wonder as soon as someone brings up politics they are slammed.

Who in gods name wants to sit there nowadays listening to some over educated, or in some case undereducated idiot droning on about how they are going to fix the economy.

WE want to be moved.

I say this to all of you MPs and wannabee parliamentarians, Get up off your backsides and speak with passion, with resolve and most of all sincerity. Then and only then will believe in you.

It has recently come to light, that the Liberal Democrat party, that is currently rising in the opinion polls are advocating lowering the age that children can watch and star in porn movies from 18 to 16. The Lib Dems confirmed last night that the party’s policy was to let 16-year-olds watch and star in porn movies. But a spokesman added: “Our manifesto sets out what we will do in government. This policy is not in our manifesto.” This means that YOUR CHILD who is still at school under a Lib Dem government could LEGALLY star in a porn movie.

” Mothers from Mumsnet, a popular website for mothers, are furious over the matter. One mum, called crystal123, fumed, “Many young people aged 12 appear 16 or 17 and could easily end up in explicit pornography. Young people need protecting from perverts.” I find it hard to believe that the problems we are having with child behaviour in the UK and teenage pregnancy, that Nick Cleggs party are condoning and encouraging this sort of thing. It seems to me that their solution to high crime rates is to make things that are illegal to being legal.

The PDF file for this policy was available online, but it appears to have been taken down. If anyone wishes to read it I can send it to them by email, just contact me in the comments below.

This is just plain crazy. For once I am speechless.

David Cameron’s opening speech did show a little promise, as did a few of his answers. He was delivering with conviction and confidence. But on the whole, with all three of the leaders I believed it to be a let down. No wonder the British public are disilusioned with politics.

Where are the rousing speeches from 50 years ago? Where are the speeches that used to get the voters heart racing. They are gone, in favour of jibes, lies and backbiting, which Gordon Brown seems to be an expert in.

Nick Clegg did ask one question in response to his policy on an amnesty for illegal immigrants. and that was asking the other two leaders “Well what are you going to do?” Which neither Gordon or David answered…..well I suppose Gordon did when he butted in with “Deport them” Which we all know means catch them and let them go again until a later date. giving them a chance to run off again never to be seen. However I really would have liked a more detailed answer to this question, because Lib Dems answer of giving an amnesty to criminals is just not good enough. It does not work, as proved in other countries, it attracts more illegals who have the hope of another amnesty.

David Cameron, did sound like he is planning on being strong on Europe, instead of Browns and Cleggs ideas of totally giving away all of our powers over to the EU. In this I believe that David Cameron won the debate. He was right when he said that the people do not vote the parties into power, only to give those powers away to the EU.

Last week, will be the last of the debates before the election, let us hope that this time. someone will step up to the mark and show some good old British backbone.

Many people today are sick to death with politics, so much so that many are refusing to vote.
The major parties are saying (Knowing that it is not true) that it is mainly because of the recent MPs expenses scandal and that we do not trust our MPs. Well that much is true, we do not trust them, but this mistrust has been steadily increasing for many years, and the expenses was just one more step too far.
Basically, I believe the truth is more like us, the voters, believe that we are not listened to, we no longer believe that politics has our interests at heart. None of the leaders inspire us any more, they are just a bunch of self serving career politicians.
Over the past few years, the news reports that we have been getting go to re-enforce this, what with Labour opening the floodgates with immigration knowing full well that it was against the wishes of their core voters. at the same time and also after doing this they were spouting the words “British Jobs For British Workers” Labour time after time denied doing this, until it was proved that they were lying, then they started coming up with “NEW” policies claiming that they are now starting to stem the flow. Yes they bring in new “Points System” rules, but they are still failing to fund the system enough to implement their hairbrained schemes, so in effect they are doing nothing.
These things go back years. the abolishing of the Grammar Schools was done, knowing full well that it would be detrimental to the education of our children, but still they carried on, and the consequences were far worse then ever expected.
We were promised a referendum on the Lisbon treaty, once again, once parliament realised that we would probably vote against, they just signed the treaty anyhow. In doing this, they have signed away much of our democracy. they have signed away the power for us the voters to have any say in many of the laws that are forced upon us from the EU.
Slowly but surely, the parties are eroding away the power of the people. It is time for us to stand up and be counted, time to say no, and time to show them that we care.
Please feel free to put your thoughts below.

At Least David Cameron did have the guts to reply to Nicks continuous repeating of scrapping trident, even though he made an obvious balls up when he claimed that we had to keep our eye on China . Yes with this I did agree with Cameron. We do still need a nuclear deterrent, whatever the cost, we really cannot afford to let this go, especially with the way things are in the world today.
I was annoyed that none of the leaders even touched upon the EU, even though it is one of the things that effects our lives more than any other outside source in the UK.
To sum it up, ALL of the leaders ought to step up to the mark. The people of this country once again need to be inspired, and sadly this lot are about as inspiring as a bunch of rotten bananas.

PS I would really like to see some debate between the smaller parties.
