Once again the general election looms upon us. It’s a time for all the politicians and prospective MPs to start slagging off the other parties. To start their name calling, rooting out of skeletons in their opponents cupboards. It is a time for pointing our how bad the opposition policies are, without actually saying or even knowing anything about them, or if they do, they rarely say what they will do in their place.
It is time for a major overhaul in the way UK elections take place. It is time to allow the British public to be able to make an informed decision in who they vote for. At least this time there is going to be a tv debate between the main three parties, but this even seems to have been weighed down with stupidity. with rules like the audience are not allowed to applaud for fear of swaying the tv viewers. (Is this right? I really don’t know) What about a voice for the smaller parties, like the BNP or UKIP. Or is it that they are not allowed too much of a voice just in case they upset the balance held by Labour, Conservative and The Liberal Democrats.
It seems to me that, smaller parties are not given a voice, they are rarely allowed to voice their ideals without the media twisting and contorting what they have said all out of proportion. Lets face it all the major parties do is resort to name calling and jibes, and never answer any of the points raised.
IT IS TIME FOR CHANGE!!
